Meet Glynn Cannon, M. Ed, LPC, the newest member of Foundations' clinical team! Glynn is an Alabama native who has a longstanding commitment to service. Glynn is from central Alabama originally, but spent many years of his adult life living in Arizona. While in Arizona, Glynn worked as a police officer. Through his police work, he learned that the most meaningful way to help people is to teach them to advocate for themselves before reaching a point of crisis.
After eleven years of service, Glynn left police work to use his Master of Education degree in Counseling to help people in other ways. Upon his return to Alabama, Glynn worked in a variety of therapeutic contexts, from intensive substance use inpatient facilities to outpatient clinics.
Most of Glynn's counseling work has been inside of Alabama's school systems, working as a guidance counselor and behavioral therapist. In these schools, Glynn polished his clinical skills working with adolescents and realized his passion for working with clients who have learning disabilities.
"Whether you are struggling with the aftermath of a traumatic event, experiencing anxiety and/or depression, or simply “feeling stuck,” I would like to try and help you. I believe that with the right guidance and through a combination of evidence-based therapeutic and practical approaches, I think you may find the peace, purpose, and fulfillment you are seeking in your life."
Glynn's wide range of clinical and nonclinical professional expereince makes him a true asset to us here in Limestone county.
