My mission is to help people create a healthy relationship with themselves in order to create a better relationship to the world around them. I am passionate about seeing others discover themselves through the work of self-exploration. I feel that, oftentimes, people suffer because they lose sight of themselves. As a counselor, I know that self-realization and personal autonomy are critical to happiness and success for us because those things are what make each of us uniquely human. When we never really know who we are, we can feel like a shell. Other times, people suffer and that causes them to lose sight of themselves. Grief, loss, experiences of abuse, exposure to hardships, and other causes of trauma can make it difficult for us to stay in touch with the person we know we are or who we want to be.
In therapy, my goal is to create a safe space for you to get in touch with yourself, explore your identity, and work through the issues that you feel are important to your well-being. Through therapy, I help my clients process trauma and loss, learn coping skills for anxiety and depression, learn about how their mind interprets information, and much more. This process is all about you, the client. Accepting and processing the past, living in the present, and shaping the future will give you the peace you deserve. I am here to help you do that and achieve your goals!
